C31600 high copper brass alloy is a high copper content brass alloy with a copper content of up to 85-89%. In addition, C31600 alloy also contains 1.5-3% of aluminum, manganese, iron and other elements. The addition of these elements increases the strength and hardness of the alloy while maintaining its good machinability and corrosion resistance.
C31600 alloy has good electrical conductivity, and its electrical conductivity can be as high as 30-34%IACS. The alloy has a density of 8.8 g/cm³, making it slightly lighter than copper. Its thermal conductivity is high, 122 W/mK, which is about 20% higher than ordinary brass. This allows C31600 alloy to maintain good thermal conductivity in high temperature environments and is widely used in the manufacture of thermal components.
C31600 alloy has a tensile strength of 440-570 MPa and a high elongation of 40-50%. This makes it ideal for manufacturing high-strength, highly corrosion-resistant parts. In addition, C31600 alloy has a hardness (HV) of 120-170, which is slightly harder than ordinary brass.
